Random picker

Pick a winner from a list, flip a coin or roll dice. Properly random, no repeats if you don't want them.

Each pick uses the browser's cryptographic random number generator, with a method (rejection sampling) that avoids the slight bias you get from the usual shortcut. Picking several names from a list never repeats one.

For a prize draw with real value or a legal element (a competition, a raffle), UK law and the terms of the platform you're running it on may apply, so don't treat a web tool as an official draw.

Is it fair?

Yes. Every option has the same chance and nothing is remembered between picks.

Can I pick more than one name?

Yes. Change 'How many to pick'. The same name won't come up twice.

Can I use this for a giveaway?

For fun, yes. For a competition with prizes, check the rules that apply to you.

Everything happens in your browser. Nothing you type or add is uploaded to us or anyone else, and the tool works with no account.

Free to use. Results are for convenience: check anything important before you rely on it.
