How it works

Each button rewrites the text in the box, and Undo puts the last version back. Title Case capitalises every word except short joining words such as 'and', 'of' and 'the' (unless they start the text). Sentence case capitalises the first letter after a full stop, question mark, exclamation mark or line break.

camelCase, snake_case and kebab-case are the naming styles programmers use for variables and web addresses; they remove punctuation and join the words. Tidy spaces removes doubled spaces and extra blank lines.

Questions

Is my text uploaded?

No. It stays in this browser tab.

What is the difference between Title Case and Sentence case?

Title Case capitalises most words ('How to Write a Good Title'). Sentence case capitalises only the first word and names ('How to write a good title').

Does Title Case follow a style guide?

It follows the common rule of keeping short words such as 'a', 'of' and 'the' lower case. House styles differ in the details, so check names and acronyms.

Why use kebab-case?

It is the usual style for web addresses and file names, because words are separated by hyphens that search engines read as spaces.
